Art Basel takes place in Halls 1 and 2 of Messe Basel, Messeplatz, 4005 Basel, Switzerland.
Hall 1: Built in 1999 by the Swiss architect and art collector
Theo Hotz, this hall hosts Art Unlimited, Art Statements,
Art Basel Conversations, Art Salon, Art Magazines and
Artist Books.
Hall 2: A landmark building from the 1950s, built by Hans Hoffmann, the building hosts Art Galleries, Art Premiere
and Art Edition.

Art Kids
Art Basel offers a free kindergarten and playroom for children aged 3-13, who are introduced to art while their parents visit
Art 41 Basel. The children are supervised by professional,
and food and drink are likewise provided free of charge.
Location: 1st floor of Hall 1, access via Art Unlimited.
Mandatory bag check
For safety reasons, all bags larger than 30 x 30 cm, briefcases and backpacks must be deposited at the coat check before entering the exhibition halls.
